Hotel Lumbini Heritage

Hotel Lumbini Heritage

Hospitality | Lumbini

Hotel Lumbini Heritage is conceived as an architectural response to the brick-built landscape of Lumbini. The project takes direct inspiration from the material language found across the heritage zone, ancient archaeological ruins, historic brick foundations and the series of contemplative brick structures within the Lumbini masterplan. Brick is used as the primary building material, not only for its visual connection to the site but also for its tactile quality, thermal performance, and ability to weather naturally over time. The architecture emphasizes quiet horizontality, rhythm, and repetition, echoing the way brick courses organize space in the surrounding cultural landscape. Courtyards and semi-open transition zones are integrated to allow light, wind and greenery to soften the solid volumes, promoting slow movement and moments of pause for visitors. The project is designed as a calm and welcoming retreat for visitors to Lumbini.
