Located within the premises of the International Mountain Museum in Pokhara, the Botanical Garden extends the museum’s educational and environmental vision. The design celebrates Nepal’s rich botanical diversity through a series of themed gardens connected by accessible pathways, creating opportunities for exploration, learning and recreation.
Native and locally adapted plant species form the core of the landscape, promoting biodiversity while reflecting the region’s natural character. Open lawns, shaded seating areas, water features, and stone pathways create inviting public spaces that respond to the site’s topography and strengthen the connection between the museum, the landscape, and the surrounding mountain environment.
Designed as a living educational landscape, the Botanical Garden enhances the museum campus while encouraging environmental awareness and appreciation of Nepal’s diverse mountain flora.
